7 years, 7 months ago7 years, 7 months agoI’m going to say the one on the right is real. As Linda mentioned it looks to me like there are some finely pitted areas that still have sediment stains in them. Great reproduction whichever one it is!

7 years, 9 months ago7 years, 9 months agoThanks for taking a look Walter. When I found this I initially thought it was an incomplete vert of some sort as well but leaned towards an ungual after taking a good look at it. Daniel Peters started the topic Cretaceous Ungual Bone in the forum What Is It? 7 years, 9 months ago
7 years, 9 months ago7 years, 9 months agoThis is a Bladen County North Carolina find from 3 months ago, Donoho Creek formation, late Cretaceous. Companion finds are Deinosuchus, Hadrosaur species, Dryptosaur, numerous turtle species etc. My knee jerk ID was a (very) juvenile hadrosaur ungual but it isn’t typical to the larger hadrosaur unguals I’ve seen. Would love to hear some opinions!
